Casino sister sites explained
A casino's sister sites are the other casinos run by the same operator or owned by the same company, shown on the casinos' own pages or the regulator's record. A shared licence alone never makes a sister. That is the whole definition. What makes it useful is checking it, because plenty of lists online call two casinos sisters on the strength of a similar logo or the same games. On Puntide, for each casino I name the company that runs it and where it is licensed, and I list only the brands that share that operator or owner. When a casino will not say who runs it, I say so plainly. Our team checks every fact in these posts against the casino's own pages and the regulator's records before we publish.
What makes two casinos sisters?
I use one test. Two casinos are sisters when the same operator runs both, or the same company owns both, and that is shown on the casinos' own pages or on the regulator's record. Shared software, a shared look or a shared bonus style does not pass that test on its own.
A clear UK example is Gala Bingo and Foxy Bingo. Foxy Bingo's own terms say its Terms of Use are agreed with LC International Limited, the same operator that Gala Bingo's terms name. Two casinos' own pages, one operator.
Offshore casinos can pass the same test. MyStake's own terms say it "is operated by GTW B.V., a company incorporated under the laws of Curaçao", and DonBet's terms name the same operator. That makes them sisters, whatever else you think of them.
How to check who runs a casino
- Scroll to the footer and open the terms. Look for a company name, the country it is registered in and a licence line.
- Check that licence with the regulator, to see who answers for the casino. For Great Britain, search the Gambling Commission's public register, which covers licensed gambling businesses. For Curaçao, open the licence seal or the Curaçao Gaming Authority's register.
- Compare the company, the licence and its status with what the casino says. They should match.
- Search the company name on other casinos' own terms pages. Every casino whose own pages name the same operator or the same owning company is a sister.
On the British register a clean result looks like this. Tek Fox Ltd, the company Mr Q's terms name as its operator, holds a remote casino licence the register shows as "Active", current since 29 September 2023. The Curaçao register is harder to read. For GTW B.V., the company behind MyStake and DonBet, it lists the licence as "Assessment in progress" with a printed end date of December 24, 2025. I quote that as the register shows it, with the date I read it, and leave the judgement to you.
When a casino does not name its operator
Three of the offshore casinos I checked do not name the company that runs them anywhere on their live sites: Kinghills, Cocoa Casino and True Fortune. That matters more than any bonus. Without a named company you cannot check a licence, you cannot find the sisters, and if something goes wrong you do not know who you are dealing with.
A missing name does not mean there are no sisters. Cocoa Casino's own terms warn against holding "more than one account on an affiliated sister casino under the same management as Cocoa Casino", and still name no casino and no company. Each of the three has its own warning post on Puntide.
Same software is not the same owner
Many casinos rent their platform from one software supplier, which is why unrelated casinos can look almost identical. Cocoa Casino and True Fortune both run on Rival Gaming's software, and the text files behind their websites are exactly the same size, 157,936 bytes. That tells you they share a platform. It does not tell you they share an owner, so I do not call them sisters.

Does self-exclusion cover sister sites?
If you have excluded yourself, or are thinking about it, this is the part that matters most. GamStop is the free national scheme. In its own words: "When you register with Gamstop Online you'll be blocked from accessing gambling websites and apps licensed in Great Britain." You choose a period "from 6 months up to 5 years", and "Once you've registered, you cannot cancel your registration during the exclusion period."
So GamStop covers the whole family when the family is licensed in Great Britain. Mr Q's safer gambling page says it "is registered with GAMSTOP", and GamStop's list names the companies behind Mr Q, Jackpotjoy and Gala Bingo. An exclusion at one brand alone is narrower. Mr Q's own page recommends that you "contact any other gambling sites you play with and ask for an exclusion from those too."
None of the offshore casinos on this page, and none of the companies named for them, appears on GamStop's list of participating companies, as updated on 30 September 2026. Puntide never presents a sister site, offshore or not, as a way around an exclusion. If you have excluded yourself, the help below is where to turn.
Our take
A sister list with no named operator or owner behind it is guesswork, and it is common. Of the six offshore casinos I checked, three do not tell you who runs them today. The British families are the easy part: the casinos' own terms name the operator and the register confirms the licence. Offshore, read the terms before anything else, check the licence yourself, and treat a casino with no named company as a casino with no one to answer to.
Safer gambling
Gambling should stay affordable and optional. If it is not, stop and get help. You can block yourself from every gambling site licensed in Great Britain for free at GamStop. For free information, advice and support, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 802 0133. If you are in Great Britain and are offered gambling by a business that does not appear to hold a licence, you can report it to the Gambling Commission through its Tell us something in confidence page.
Questions
What does sister site mean?
Different brand, same people behind it: the same operator runs both casinos, or the same company owns both.
How do I find a casino's sister sites?
Find the operator named in the casino's terms or footer, check it on the regulator's register, then look for other casinos whose own pages name the same operator or owning company.
Are sister sites safe?
A sister is as safe as the company behind it, no more. A British-licensed family answers to one regulator under one set of rules; an unnamed operator gives you nothing to check.
Does GamStop cover sister sites?
It covers gambling sites licensed in Great Britain, so a British family is covered as a whole. It does not cover casinos outside that system.
Do sister sites share accounts?
They are separate brands with separate sign-ups, but the company can treat accounts together. Cocoa Casino's terms, for example, forbid holding more than one account across a sister casino under the same management.
