Privacy policy

Last updated 5 October 2026. This page sets out what Puntide collects when you read its pages and what it does with it.

1. Data controller

Puntide is the website responsible for the personal data described on this page. The name of the person or company that acts as data controller has not been published yet; this page will name it once it is.

2. Our principles

We collect as little as we can and keep it no longer than needed to keep the site running.

Puntide is written for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

3. What data we collect and on what basis

Puntide does not ask you for your name, email address or any other details, and it publishes no contact address yet.

When a page is requested, the web server (nginx) writes one log line with your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the response status and size, the referring page and your browser's user agent string.

These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, for example to find errors and abuse; they are not used for analytics or advertising. The basis for this is our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and safe.

The site uses no analytics and sets no cookies, and nothing is stored in your browser. Its fonts are served from its own server, not from Google Fonts, and its one short script only works the page menus. Our cookie policy gives these facts in more detail.

The site runs on a server rented from Hostinger. We do not share the server logs with anyone; they stay on that server.

The pages make no requests to any other company's server. A browser check of the site on 1 October 2026 would have failed on any cookie, any browser storage or any request to another server, and found none.

If the law requires it, for example through a valid court order, we may have to hand over the data we hold to the authority that asks for it.

Pages that link to a casino or another website send you to a site we do not control. Once you are there, that site's own privacy policy applies, and it is worth reading before you sign up.

5. Transfers outside the UK

The server that hosts Puntide is in Germany, so the server logs are held there, outside the UK. We send no other personal data abroad.

6. Retention and data security

Server logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 rotations, so each line is kept for about 14 days.

The logs are compressed when rotated and held only on the server. The site keeps no other personal data.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you and for a copy of it, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to have its use limited, to object to its use, and to receive it in a form you can pass to another service.

The only personal data Puntide holds is the server log lines described in section 3, so a request can only cover what is still in those logs. To find your lines, we would need the IP address you used and the times you visited.

We have no address for these requests in place yet; it will be added here.

8. Right to complain

If you are unhappy with how we use your personal data, you can complain to the UK's privacy regulator, the Information Commission's Office (ICO).

The ICO gives this advice: "In most cases, we recommend that you raise your concern with the organisation first and give them a chance to put things right." It adds: "If you’re unhappy with the organisation’s response, you can then complain to the ICO."

The ICO's number is 0303 123 1113, and its website explains how to make a complaint about how an organisation has used your personal information.

9. Changes to this policy

A revised privacy policy replaces this one at the same address, and the "Last updated" line under the heading shows the date of the latest version.

For the rules on using the site, see the terms of use; for who writes Puntide, see the about page.
