Jackpotjoy has four confirmed sisters. Each names Gamesys Operations Limited as its operator on its own pages, and a self-exclusion at any one of them shuts you out of the rest. That last point matters more than any welcome offer, so it has its own section below. Our team checks every fact here against the casinos' own pages and the regulator's record before we publish.

Who runs Jackpotjoy?

Its terms say: "Jackpotjoy™ is operated by Gamesys Operations Limited of Suite 2, Floor 4, Waterport Place, Gibraltar". The about page adds the owner: "Nowadays, Jackpotjoy is owned by Bally's Corporation and operated by Gamesys Operations Limited (part of Bally's)." The brand itself dates from 2002, by its own account.

Is Jackpotjoy licensed?

Yes, in Great Britain. Its terms state that Gamesys Operations Limited "is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission", and the licence the terms give matches the one in our register research. Its complaints route ends with eCOGRA, which it names as its approved Alternative Dispute Resolution service.

Jackpotjoy sister sites

Four casinos name the same operator on their own pages, so I count them as confirmed. Double Bubble Bingo, Virgin Games and MONOPOLY Casino each say on their about page that they are "operated by Gamesys Operations Limited", and the terms of Bally Casino (ballycasino.co.uk) name the same company.

Jackpotjoy's own help pages list the group the same way: "Our group of sites includes: Jackpotjoy, MONOPOLY Casino, Virgin Games, Rainbow Riches Casino, Double Bubble Bingo and Bally". Rainbow Riches Casino is in that list, but we have not read its own pages, so it is not on the confirmed list yet.

How the sisters differ from Jackpotjoy

The family shares an operator, not a welcome offer. Jackpotjoy gives new members 100 free spins on Fishin Frenzy The Big Catch 2. Virgin Games also gives 100 free spins, on GAME OF THRONES. Double Bubble Bingo, MONOPOLY Casino and Bally Casino each offer 30 free spins, on Double Bubble Cash Wall, MONOPOLY Cash Is King and Eye Of Horus Legacy Of Gold.

Loyalty schemes differ too. Jackpotjoy pays Joy Points worth 1p each in cash, Virgin Games has V*Points, and MONOPOLY Casino and Bally Casino name Plus.

What Jackpotjoy's terms say about bonuses and withdrawals

  1. Welcome spins: 100 free spins (1p coin size, 10 lines) after opting in and making a first deposit of at least £10.
  2. Wagering: the spins "have no wagering requirements and there is no cash alternative to Free Spins."
  3. Time: 30 days from your first deposit to meet the conditions, then 30 days to play the spins.
  4. Games that do not count: "wagering on Sports, Bingo and Live Casino does not count towards the wagering requirement for the Casino Welcome Offer."
  5. Withdrawals: "We typically process withdrawals within 4 hours, however we ask that you allow up to 24 hours just in case." Your balance must be above £10, and a single withdrawal can be up to £25,000. Apple Pay pays out in 1 working day.
  6. Fees: "We do not charge you to deposit to or withdraw from your Member account."

Self-exclusion across the family

If you exclude yourself at Jackpotjoy, the exclusion reaches every sister. Its terms say: "if you elect to self-exclude you are not permitted to open or use a Member account that is operated by any company in the Gamesys Group." Virgin Games, MONOPOLY Casino and Bally Casino carry the same sentence, and Double Bubble Bingo says that "Any other accounts that you hold across the other websites that we operate will also be closed". A sister here is never a way back in.

Sites like Jackpotjoy outside the Gamesys family

A site like Jackpotjoy is a casino that looks or plays something like it, which is not the same as a sister. A look-alike is not run by Jackpotjoy's operator, so the facts on this page do not carry over to it: not the licence details and not the self-exclusion that joins the Gamesys Group.

On any look-alike, check who its terms name as operator, then find that operator on the regulator's register. If you are in Great Britain, our posts on Mr Q (run by Tek Fox Ltd) and Gala Bingo (run by LC International Limited) cover two casinos that hold Gambling Commission licences for Great Britain, and how to check who runs a casino sets out the steps.

Our take

This is a family that does what a family should: one operator, named plainly on every brand's own pages, and an exclusion that follows you across all of them. The no-wagering welcome spins are a real point in Jackpotjoy's favour. If you are choosing between the sisters, choose on the offer and the games, because the rules underneath are the same. We rate Jackpotjoy 4.4 out of 5 from its own pages.

Safer gambling

Set a deposit limit before you play; Jackpotjoy's own tools include net deposit, stake and session limits. You can block every site licensed in Great Britain for free at GamStop, or call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 802 0133.
